What We Believe

We believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God, perfect in its original autographs, and the standard by which we should live out our faith in the world.

We believe in one living and true God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are equal in divine perfections, distinct in personal attributes, and harmonious in sovereign activity.

We believe that God the Father is the sovereign Ruler and Provider of the universe, the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Father of all true believers.

We believe Jesus Christ, God the Son, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died for the sins of humanity, physically raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return physically.

We believe the Holy Spirit, who is fully divine, exalts Christ, convinces people of their sin and need for salvation, and indwells believers in order to enable them to live a godly life.

We believe humans were created in God’s image to have dominion as God’s representatives on earth, but freely rebelled against God’s kingship resulting in all humans being sinners.

We believe that salvation is offered freely to all people who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who secured our salvation by his death and resurrection.

We believe the local church is a body of baptized believers who freely covenant together to love and serve the Lord and that the universal church includes all believers throughout history.

We believe that baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are powerful symbols through which believers visibly proclaim their faith and the gospel in obedience to the Lord.

We believe Jesus will return to earth in glory at the last day to eternally establish God’s kingdom on earth, reward the righteous to eternal joy and judge the wicked to eternal condemnation.
